Patkó Büfé (Horseshoe Snack Bar)
Much like the Hirschmann Ice Cream Parlour, I have fond memories of Patkó Büfé from my childhood, and it remains very popular among holidaymakers and travellers to this day.
They have retained traditional snack bar foods such as fried sausage, black pudding, and fried hake. Unfortunately, you can no longer get lángos, but instead, there are exciting new offerings like goat cheese with grilled vegetables or grilled kid liver with vegetables and potatoes.
We also highly recommend the homemade strudel, which we’ve seen being taken away in trays (by pre-order), so it’s definitely worth visiting this place for a meal.
You can also request the food to go, so you can eat it either on the beach or in the apartment. Just like we did with this delicious fried hake…
You can check their Facebook page for daily specials and detailed opening hours, but generally, they are open on weekends from May and every day during the peak season. Unfortunately, they tend to close quite early, at the beginning of September.
Where is it?
Turn right at the gate, right at the corner again, walk down Táncsics street and you won’t miss it.
