Bad weather is no obstacle!
Situation is not hopeless if it rains at Lake Balaton, because we can still find great programmes from spring to autumn in Zamárdi! For example, one year we discovered that Hotel Wellamarin has a bowling alley: in 2023 it can be rented for HUF 4,500 per hour (shoes and balls provided).
Also open in the off-season
You soon realize that bowling is not as easy as you thought, and that long nails are not recommended for this activity! The two-lane track is located in a smaller hall in a very cozy environment. If no one rents the other one, it’s practically all ours. In addition, there is also a café at your disposal: if you are thirsty, you can drink a delicious soft drink or hot coffee.
After an hour or two of bowling, combined with a walk back and forth, a morning or afternoon has already passed, and we can sit down for a well-deserved snack. If we’re lucky, the rain will stop by then.
